Biodiversidad de crustáceos decápodos (Crustacea: Decapoda) en México por Alvarez, Fernando, Villalobos, José Luis, Hendrickx, Michel E., Escobar Briones, Elva, Rodríguez Almaraz, Gabino Adrián, Campos, Ernesto

    Publicado 2014
“…A total of 299 species were collected, belonging to 53 farnilies and including 17 species of Penaeoidea, 45 of Caridea, 6 of Thalassinidea, 5 of Palinura, 1 of Astacidea, 63 of Anomura, and 162 of Brachyura. Number of species varied considerably from one habitat to another. Highest biodiversity was observed in the Bay of Mazatlán, with 121 species, followed by the continental shelf and the rocky intertidal (107 species each), the estuarine/coasta1 lagoons (48 species), the upper slope (18 species) and the sandy beaches (9 species). …”

On aerodynamics of baseball pitches: reconstruction of spinning throws, and a lift force model for the knuckleball por Aguirre López, Mario Alberto

    Publicado 2016
“…The second part deals with the lift force present in knuckleball pitches, which is caused by the asymmetries on the ball morphology and has an oscillatory behavior varying the seams orientation. We propose a model to compute said force for two-seams (2S) and four-seams (4S) orientations, by means of a coefficient (lift coefficient) depending on the positions of each stitch of the ball seams. …”

Biomass and lipid induction strategies in microalgae for biofuel production and other applications por Alishah Aratboni, Hossein, Rafiei, Nahid, García Granados, Raúl, Alemzadeh, Abbas, Morones Ramírez, José Rubén

    Publicado 2019
“…Here, we review these strategies which include modulating light intensity in cultures, controlling and varying CO2 levels and temperature, inducing nutrient starvation in the culture, the implementation of stress by incorporating heavy metal or inducing a high salinity condition, and the use of metabolic and genetic engineering techniques coupled with nanotechnology.…”

Comparing the assimilation of dietary nitrogen supplied by animal-, plant- and microbial-derived ingredients in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei: A stable isotope study por Gamboa Delgado, Julián, Nieto López, Martha Guadalupe, Maldonado Muñiz, Maribel, Villarreal Cavazos, David Alonso, Tapia Salazar, Mireya, Cruz Suárez, Lucía Elizabeth

    Publicado 2020
“…Corn gluten, soy protein isolate, Arthrospira (Spirulina) biomass and a bacterial meal (ProFloc™) were used to formulate six, isotopic control diets containing one source of dietary nitrogen, while six combined diets had varying proportions of ingredients. At the end of the trial, survival rates were similar among treatments (88 ± 9%) but there were significant differences in mean final weight. …”

WT1 silencing by RNAi synergizes with chemotherapeutic agents and induces chemosensitization to doxorubicin and cisplatin in B16F10 murine melanoma cells por Zapata Benavides, Pablo, Manilla Muñoz, Edgar, Zamora Ávila, Diana Elisa, Saavedra Alonso, Santiago, Franco Molina, Moisés Armides, Trejo Ávila, Laura M., Dávalos Aranda, Guillermo, Rodríguez Padilla, Cristina

    Publicado 2012
“…To determine whether shRNA interference (shRNAi) is capable of sensitizing B16F10 cells to chemotherapeutic agents, cells were transfected with an LD50 of each of the recombinant plasmids, treated with varying concentrations of doxorubicin or cisplatin 24 h post-transfection, and analyzed 48 h later for inhibition of cell proliferation using the MTT assay. …”
