Thirty collection sites were sampled in bodies of water of the state of Nuevo León, mostly belonging to the sub-basin of the San Juan River, during the spring of 2015, the summers of 2014 and 2015 and the winters of 2015 and 2016. …”

“…At population and community levels, we chose caridean and penaeid shrimp communities to assess environmental health through the calculation of diversity, biotic and condition indices, which, in general, exposed poor water quality, polluted and very polluted water, significant–severe biological condition of the ecosystem, and poor ecological status. Nevertheless, these results were influenced by natural induced variations in species abundance and richness given the observed low levels of sediment pollutants content. …”
