“…They were randomised into2 groups, with the treatment group receiving a single dose of 40 mg telmisartan orally 2 hoursprior to surgery, and the placebo group.Results: There were 20 patients in each group (n = 40), with a mean age of 32.65 years inthe treatment group. Plasma creatinine did not show any significant change in the diffe-rent time lapse in which blood samples were taken, but creatinine clearance at the end ofsurgery (196.415 ± 56.507 vs. 150.1995 ± 75.081; p=0.034), and at 2 h postoperative period(162.105 ± 44.756 vs. 113.235 ± 31.228; p ≤ 0.001) was statistically significant, which supportsan increase in renal function in the telmisartan group.Conclusion: The use of telmisartan, an angiotensin II AT1 receptor antagonist, offers renalprotection during laparoscopic surgery.© 2016 Academia Mexicana de Cirug´ıa A.C. …”

Around 66.7% of university students reported a high satisfaction with life, being family relationships and the situation of the house they live the aspects in which they were most satisfied; Statistical differences were found in the quality of life according to eating habits (Z = -3.629, p <.05), the consumption of tobacco (Z = -2.504, p <.05) and the worry to get fat (Z = -2.142, p <.05), higher scores were found in those who took care of their diet, did not smoke and did not worry about getting fat. …”
