    “…Abstract This paper shows the results of our main studies, on inventory, geographic distribution range, and economic estimation carried out in the northeastern region of Mexico; the results show the update and knowledge of the systematic and the diversity of produce with a total increase of 8% for Coahuila, 40% for Nuevo Leon and 42% in Tamaulipas, when compared to technical information published before 2005; it provides a general account for the 58 species and 6 genus in this region; the generation and analysis of data bases, including at least one specimen for each species, indexed and validated under a national - international herbarium; the description of a new Agave species, considered as a baseline ancestor of the genus and the relict phylogeographic relationships to family level. …”
