Comparative Method Between Eddy Current and Optical Microscopy in the Determination of Thickness of 6063 Aluminum Alloy Anodization
Published 2025“…The results indicated that the calibration before each measurement strategy using Eddy current showed higher agreement with the reference method, suggesting that both techniques can be considered equivalent and interchangeable. Furthermore, the Eddy current method demonstrated significant advantages in detecting thickness variations along the specimen, revealing non-uniform distribution of the anodized layer. …”

Artificial neural network modeling of phenol adsorption onto barley husks activated carbon in an airlift reactor
Published 2013“…Correlation coefficients higher than 0.95 were observed between the breakthrough curves predicted by the developed Adaline network and those obtained experimentally for the multiple-input single-output problem. Further improvements and generalization of the developed predictive Adaline network are discussed.…”

Rainfall partitioning in mixed oak forest with dwarf bamboo (Sasa paniculata) undergrowth.
Published 1996“…Also, it was determined that maximum rain intensity was highly correlated with stemflow and this variable explained a further 5.5% of the stemflow variation. The interception loss from the forest canopy was estimated at 18% and the total interception loss of forest vegetation (Konara + Sasa) accounted for 31.7%. …”

Factorial invariance of bias scale, Trait version, in engineering and social sciences Mexican university students
Published 2014“…Exploratory and confirmatory factorial analysis showed that a bi-factorial structure is feasible and convenient for both populations (engineering and social sciences) according to the established psychometric requirements because the students are the ones who provided the information. Furthermore the factorial structure, factorial loads and the intercepts are considered invariant in the engineering and social sciences areas; however there are differences in the mean of both factors among the two populations.…”

The effects of rising food prices on poverty in Mexico
Published 2008“…After considering the positive effects of public policies announced in 2008, such as reduced taxes and tariffs on food products and greater subsidies to the extremely poor, the poverty rate measured through consumption increases from 25% to 33.5%, and the extreme poverty rate from 10.58% to 16%, given the increase in food prices. Further analysis using the theory of optimal taxes suggests policies oriented towards relieving the food price pressure on the Mexican poor should aim at lowering the prices of eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and chicken.…”

Practical diets for Litopenaeus Vannamei (Boone, 1931): working towards organic and/or all plant production diets.
Published 2004“…This result is presumably due to a lack of HUFA in the diets without algae oils high in DHA and AA. To further test the potential of a feed without fish meal, a commercial version of one of the test diets was produced at a feed mill and tested under pond production conditions. …”
