Digestibility of different wheat products in white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei juveniles by Nieto López, Martha Guadalupe, Tapia Salazar, Mireya, Ricque Marie, Denis, Villarreal Cavazos, David Alonso, Lemme, Andreas, Cruz Suárez, Lucía Elizabeth

    Published 2011
“…The test diets included 30% of the test ingredients and 70% of a ground commercial diet supplemented with 1% chromic oxide and 1% sodium alginate. Amino acid contents in the ingredients, diets and feces were analyzed, and digestibility was determined by difference in order to minimize the impact of endogenous amino acid losses; crude protein and amino acids ADCswere adjusted for dietary preprandial losses in seawater. …”

Replacement of fishmeal with poultry byproduct meal and meat and bone meal in shrimp, tilapia and trout diets by Yu, Y.

    Published 2019
“…Evaluation foreffectiveness of substitution should be largely based on matching of digestible amino acids content andthe requirement of the target species, and the growth performance from the feeding trials.Supplementation of crystalline amino acids is recommended when amino acids imbalance has arised. Results of most feeding trials indicate that replacement of FM with MBM and PBM has minimal effecton feed consumption, survival rate, carcass composition and taste characteristics for white shrimp, tilapia and trout. …”

Alimentary Biostoichiometry Toward a Bigger Productivity and a Low Environmental Impact. by H. Gutiérrez, Víctor

    Published 2019
“…The "Alimentary Biostoichiometry", was born in our science group like to necessity ofinterpretation of countless and complex interrelations and results it causes - effect obtainedin all our chore in nutrition where the sequence interpretations have been conjugated; basicand applied investigation; disciplines like biotechnology, genetics, molecular biology, evolution, ethology, physiology, biochemistry, immunochemistry, embryology, bioenergétic, sciences of the nutrition; cumulative experience among others. The feeding and nutrition in aquaculture is based fundamentally on charts and preseteddates which don't consider the relationships phylo and ontogenetics, ontogeny of mobilityand molecular relationships of amino acids integrally for example free amino acids, freeand combined amino acids , and total aa. of proteins, enzymes, peptides etc., ramified aa.,muscular tissue precursors, aa precursors of collagen, aa. precursors of immunity etc., typesof fatty acids, besides the physiologic state, homeostasis, enzymatic ontogeny, transferases,ATP-aces, psicrofílic enzymes like CST and AST, habits of natural feeding, umami, frequency, age etc.The "Alimentary Biostoichiometry", it conjugates the disciplines approaching the problemof a more holistic point of view where the essential thing is marked for "modulations" orchanges that are allowed to see as "Specie-Specific-Stadium" (SSS).Having identified some factors of biomasic grow v/s for example the development of thedigestive capacity and on the other hand the natural morbimortality in larvae of Salmosalar, have been formulated and developed practical diets according to obtained results, comparing finally this diets with commercial allowances of high conversion grade.…”

Recent Developments in Shrimp Feeds & Feeding by Tacon, Albert G.J.

    Published 2015
“…The above is perhaps not surprising since fishmeal and fish oil represent ideal feed ingredients for the aquaculture sector by possessing a nutritional profile approximating to the nutritional requirements of most farmed aquatic species, including shrimp; fishmeal not only being an excellent source of dietary protein and essential amino acids but also being a good source of nucleotides, essential fatty acids, phospholipids, minerals, and trace elements (including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, manganese, selenium, iodine, molybdenum, and chromium), and fat soluble and water soluble vitamins (including vitamin A, D, E, choline, inositol, and B-vitamins).It follows from the above discussion therefore that efforts to replace fishmeal with alternative and more sustainable protein-rich feed ingredient sources should focus not only on making good any amino acid imbalances through dietary supplementation with aquaculture-grade free amino acids and dipeptides, but must also consider the dietary supplementation of the numerous other essential nutrients usually by fishmeal, including nucleotides, taurine, cholesterol, HUFA, minerals and trace elements. …”
