“…Specifically, this study was designed to explore in a preliminary way the relationship between the model of strengths through the Values in Action Inventory (VIA-IS, Peterson & Seligman, 2004) with the concept of authentic happiness, through the Authentic Happiness Inventory (AHI; Peterson, 2005; Seligman, Steen, Park & Peterson, 2005) in a sample of 927 people (323 men and 604 women) from different states of the Mexican Republic, of different educational levels with a range of 25 to 76 years of age and an average of 43.1. High correlations were found between the strengths of character and authentic happiness, in the two subscales associated with its hedonic and eudemonic components, which involves satisfaction, dedication, and meaning, corroborating the theoretical contribution of strengths of character to those dimensions of happiness.…”
