Meta-analysis Reveals Genome-Wide Significance at 15q13 for Nonsyndromic Clefting of Both the Lip and the Palate, and Functional Analyses Implicate GREM1 As a Plausible Causative G... por Ludwig, Kerstin U., Ahmed, Syeda Tasnim, Böhmer, Anne C., Sangani, Nasim Bahram, Varghese, Sheryil, Klamt, Johanna, Schuenke, Hannah, Gültepe, Pinar, Hofmann, Andrea, Rubini, Michele, Aldhorae, Khalid Ahmed, Steegers Theunissen, Regine P., Rojas Martínez, Augusto, Reiter, Rudolf, Borck, Guntram, Knapp, Michael, Nakatomi, Mitsushiro, Graf, Daniel, Mangold, Elisabeth, Peters, Heiko

“…We show during mouse embryogenesis, Grem1 is expressed in the developing lip and soft palate but not in the hard palate. This is consistent with genotype-phenotype correlations between rs1258763 and a specific nsCLP subphenotype, since a more than two-fold increase in risk was observed in patients displaying clefts of both the lip and soft palate but who had an intact hard palate (RR: 3.76, CI: 1.47–9.61, Pdiff<0.05). …”

Profile of pro and anti-inflammatory cytokines in patients with chronic liver disease in the compensation, inflammation and immunosuppression phases por Tijerina Soto, Bertha Patricia, Cordero Pérez, Paula, Moreno Peña, Diana Patricia, Treviño García, C., Muñoz Espinosa, Linda Elsa

    Publicado 2022
“…Conclusion: This study demonstrated a significant increase in the pro-inflammatory cytokine profile (IL-8 and IL-6) as cirrhosis progresses. This is consistent with in the inflammation and immunosuppression phases, assessed by the Child-Pugh severity scales in stages B and C, D'amico from stages 3 to 5 and MELD> from 16 to 24 points and from 25 to 34 points. in the four etiologies included, being statistically significant. The authors declare no conflict of interest. This work was sponsored by PAICYT-UANL-SA830-19.…”
