    Publicado 2016
“…The metalbinding protein CusF has shown several features that make it an attractive fusion protein and affinity tag: "Expression and purification of recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli tagged with the metalbinding protein CusF" (Cantu-Bustos et al., 2016 [1]). Here we present accompanying data from protein expression experiments; we tested different protein tags, temperatures, expression times, cellular compartments, and concentrations of inducer in order to obtain soluble protein and low formation of inclusion bodies. …”

    Publicado 2021
“…We previously reported preliminary characterization of adipose tissue (AT) dysfunction through the adiponectin/leptin ratio (ALR) and fasting/postprandial (F/P) gene expression in subcutaneous (SQ) adipose tissue (AT) biopsies obtained from participants in the GEMM study, a precision medicine research project. Here we present integrative data replication of previous findings from an increased number of GEMM symptom-free (SF) adults (N = 124) to improve characterization of early biomarkers for cardiovascular (CV)/immunometabolic risk in SF adults with AT dysfunction. …”

Imputation of Orofacial Clefting Data Identifies Novel Risk Loci and Sheds Light on the Genetic Background of Cleft Lip ± Cleft Palate and Cleft Palate Only. por Ludwig, Kerstin U., Böhmer, Anne C., Bowes, John, Nikolić, Miloš, Ishorst, Nina, Wyatt, Niki, Hammond, Nigel L., Gölz, Lina, Thieme, Frederic, Barth, Sandra, Schuenke, Hannah, Klamt, Johanna, Spielmann, Malte, Aldhorae, Khalid Ahmed, Rojas Martínez, Augusto, Nöthen, Markus M., Rada Iglesias, Alvaro, Dixon, Michael J., Knapp, Michael, Mangold, Elisabeth

    Publicado 2017
“…Abstract Nonsyndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (nsCL/P) is among the most common human birth defects with multifactorial etiology. Here, we present results from a genome-wide imputation study of nsCL/P in which, after adding replication cohort data, four novel risk loci for nsCL/P are identified (at chromosomal regions 2p21, 14q22, 15q24 and 19p13). …”

    Publicado 2019
“…Some of the evidence on whether antioxidant supplements are effective in treatment of liver diseases is contradictory. Here we perform a descriptive analysis of the available data in vivo and in vitro of the possible antiviral action and controversy of several antioxidant molecules against HCV.…”

Statistically coherent calibration of X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry for major elements in rocks in minerals. por Verma, Surendra P., Verma, Sanjeet K., Rivera Gómez, María Abdelaly, Torres Sánchez, Darío, Díaz González, Lorena, Amezcua Valdez, Alejandra, Rivera Escoto, Beatriz Adriana, Rosales Rivera, Mauricio, Armstrong Altrin, John S., López Loera, Héctor, Velasco Tapia, Fernando, Pandarinath, Kailasa

    Publicado 2018
“…We applied both the ordinary linear regression (OLR) and the new uncertainty weighted linear regression (UWLR) models for the calibration and comparison of a XRF machine through 59 geochemical reference materials (GRMs) and a procedure blank sample. )e mean concentration and uncertainty data for the GRMs used for the calibrations (Supplementary Materials) (available here) filewere achieved from an up-to-date compilation of chemical data and their processing from well-known discordancy and significance tests. )e drift-corrected XRF intensity and its uncertainty were determined from mostly duplicate pressed powder pellets. )e comparison of the OLR (linear correlation coefficient r∼0.9523–0.9964 and 0.9771–0.9999, respectively, for before and after matrix correction) and UWLR models (r∼0.9772–0.9976 and 0.9970–0.9999, respectively) clearly showed that the latter with generally higher values of r is preferable for routine calibrations of analytical procedures. …”

The T-loop extension of the tomato protein Kinase AvrPto-dependent Pto-interacting Protein 3 (Adi3) directs nuclear localization for suppression of plant cell death por Ek Ramos, María Julissa, Avila, Julian, Cheng, Cheng, Martin, Gregory B., Devarenne, Timothy P.

    Publicado 2010
“…The cell death suppression (CDS) activity of Adi3 requires phosphorylation by 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1 (Pdk1) and loss of Adi3 function is associated with the hypersensitive response cell death initiated by the Pto/AvrPto interaction. Here we studied the relationship between Adi3 cellular localization and its CDS activity. …”
