Characterization of lignocellulolytic activities from fungi isolated from the deep-sea sponge Stelletta normani por Balestrini, Raffaella, Batista García, Ramón Alberto, Sutton, Thomas, Jackson, Stephen A., Tovar Herrera, Omar Eduardo, Balcázar López, Edgar, Sánchez Carbente, María del Rayo, Sánchez Reyes, Ayixon, Dobson, Alan D. W., Folch Mallol, Jorge Luis

    Publicado 2017
“…This is the first time that CMCase, xylanase and peroxidase/phenol oxidase activities have been reported in these three fungal genera isolated from a marine sponge. Given the biochemical characteristics of these ligninolytic enzymes it is likely that they may prove useful in future biomass conversion strategies involving lignocellulosic materials.…”

Technical Considerations in the Development of Feeds for Shrimp Larvae and Broodstock por F. Fegan, Daniel

    Publicado 2019
“…At thesame time, there are severe technical constraints to the development of complete feeds for larvae given the smallsize of the feed particles and the development of the larval gut and digestive physiology. This paper will provide a necessarily brief overview of the issues facing feed formulators and some of the keyconsiderations that must be addressed in developing formulated feeds for shrimp broodstock and larvae.…”

Investigating the cryptogenic status of the sea squirt Didemnum perlucidum (Tunicata, Ascidiacea) in Australia based on a molecular study of its global distribution por Dias, Joana, Rocha, Rosana, Godwin, Scott, Tovar Hernández, María Ana, Delahoz, Maria, McKirdy, Simon, De Lestang, Paul, McDonald, Justin, Snow, Michael

    Publicado 2016
“…This hypothesis is supported by the fact that D. perlucium distribution in Australia is mostly confined to artificial structures, it has displayed invasive characteristics, and its presence is now being detected across an increasingly wide geographical area. Given the demonstrated low level of genetic COI variation across its known global distribution, lack of clarity around its native range, and limited availability of data on this species globally, we recognize the requirement for further work to more fully elucidate the exact origins and patterns of distribution of D. perlucidum in Australia. …”

Inoculación al estrés y atención plena para la reducción del estrés en músicos universitarios. Estudio comparativo. por Ayala Hernández, Pedro Jorge

    Publicado 2017
“…In this study two different strategies to treat stress were compared: the Stress Inoculation Training, a reliable therapeutic strategy that has been under study for decades, and Mindfulness practice, a strategy more recent and less studied in the academic sector, related to meditation and buddhist religion. Two workshops were given, each composed of five sessions delivered during five weeks, each group started with three participants and finished with one. …”

Risk factors and molecular mechanisms associated with trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole resistance in Stenotrophomonas maltophilia in Mexico por Herrera Heredia, Sandra Abril, Pezina Cantú, César Octaviano, Garza González, Elvira, Bocanegra Ibarias, Paola, Mendoza Olazarán, Soraya Sarahí, Morfín Otero, Rayo, Camacho Ortiz, Adrián, Villarreal Treviño, Licet, Rodríguez Noriega, Eduardo, Palau Davila, Laura, Maldonado Garza, Héctor Jesús, Flores Treviño, Samantha Maribel

    Publicado 2017
“…Prolonged hospitalization (15days) was an independent risk factor for SXT-resistant S. maltophilia infections (OR=3.05; 95%CI=1.12– 8.86; P=0.029). Conclusion. Given the high SXT resistance rate, SXT is not an effective first-line therapy for our patients; instead, levofloxacin could be used as an appropriate therapeutic option against S. maltophilia infections.…”
