Published 2023“…Este artículo presenta el diseño y desarrollo de un sistema de identificación animal que utiliza como dispositivo de identificación los microchips RFID que se injertan a los caninos de forma subcutánea y contienen un código numérico único que es recuperado por un lector de bolsillo, de forma inalámbrica y a corta distancia, que a su vez, se puede conectar a una terminal con internet y enviar el código a una base de datos para obtener la identidad del canino.Este sistema otorgo múltiples servicios y recursos a las asociaciones protectoras de animales, protectores independientes, clínicas veterinarias y dueños responsables de animales mediante un portal diseñado ad-hoc para el bienestar animal, todo con el fin de reducir el índice de perros callejeros en México promoviendo el cuidado responsable y la adopción.El sistema fue implementado con éxito, lo mismo que los microchip, se aportó un mecanismo eficaz y eficiente para promover el bienestar animal, se logró integrar la tecnología RFID de manera satisfactoria y se espera se expanda el número de caninos con este sistema de identificación para permitir un mejor control.…”
