Consideraciones críticas sobre el prestigio y la diginidad personal y profesional de los bibliotecarios por Torres Reyes, José Antonio

    Publicado 2011
“…Undergraduate Degre Librarian Labor Cagegory status to be signed and included in the labor IMSS union collective contract and how eventually they won; b) it also criticises the repressive and dictatorial attitudes on the side of the top managerial and academic mafias from the major Nuevo Leon universities who do not allow free and equal academic and professional development opportunities of the vast majorities of librarians with or without B.A. degrees and whom also censor their freedom of expression and thought in Nuevo Leon librarianship; c) it advocates for librarians to have an honest service mystique as if they were doing a sort of "apostleship" against the "monetarist" and "mercenarist" practices that currently practice librarians in Nuevo Leon state. …”

SALUD AMBIENTAL, CON UN ENFOQUE DE DESARROLLO SUSTENTABLE por Garza Almanza, Victoriano, Cantú Martínez, Pedro Cesar

    Publicado 2002
“…El problema ambiental está profundamente relacionado con el vínculo que tienen los hombres con su entorno y depende también de la relación de los hombres entre sí. El factor demográfico y el uso y consumo de todos los recursos naturales e industrializados que utilizamos los humanos a todo lo largo de nuestra vida, además de la infraestructura social, económica y cultural que esto implica, son factores determinantes en la emisión de contaminantes, afectación del ambiente y la salud del hombre.…”

Antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity of biopolymer-Ni, Zn nanoparticle biocomposites synthesized using R. mucilaginosa UANL-001L exopolysaccharide as a capping agent por Garza Cervantes, Javier Alberto, Escárcega González, Carlos Enrique, Díaz Barriga Castro, Enrique, Mendiola Garza, G., Marichal Cancino, Bruno Antonio, López Vázquez, Mario Alberto, Morones Ramírez, José Rubén

    Publicado 2019
“…Introduction: Global increase in the consumption of antibiotics has induced selective stress on wild-type microorganisms, pushing them to adapt to conditions of higher antibiotic concentrations, and thus an increased variety of resistant bacterial strains have emerged. Metal nanoparticles synthesized by green methods have been studied and proposed as potential antimicrobial agents against both wild-type and antibiotic-resistant strains; in addition, exopolysaccharides have been used as capping agent of metal nanoparticles due to their biocompatibility, reducing biological risks in a wide variety of applications.Purpose: In this work, we use an exopolysaccharide, from Rhodotorula mucilaginosa UANL-001L, an autochthonous strain from the Mexican northeast, as a capping agent in the synthesis of Zn, and Ni, nanoparticle biopolymer biocomposites.Materials and methods: To physically and chemically characterize the synthesized biocomposites, FT-IR, UV-Vs, TEM, SAED and EDS analysis were carried out. …”

Effects of pericytes and colon cancer stem cells in the tumor microenvironment por Garza Treviño, Elsa Nancy, Delgado González, Paulina, Valencia Salgado, Carlos I., Martínez Garza, Alejandra Mayela

    Publicado 2019
“…In recent years, it has been shown that the main reason for drug resistance is the presence of colon cancer stem cells (CSC). Pericytes are also capable of tumor homing and are important cellular components of the tumor microenvironment (TME), contributing to the formation of vessels and promoting metastasis; however, they have not been considered very important as a therapeutic target in cancer. …”
