Natural stable isotopes as indicators of the relative contribution of soy protein and fish meal to tissue growth in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) fed compound diets by Gamboa Delgado, Julián, Le Vay, Lewis

    Published 2009
“…Nitrogen and carbon half lives in muscle tissue were estimated from turnover rates and growth after using an exponential model of isotopic change. In all cases, analysis of postlarval and juvenile muscle tissue indicated a biased nutritional contribution from fishmeal, so that in postlarval shrimp fed on the 46% protein diet containing a 50:50 ratio of the two ingredients, 69% of nitrogen and 59% of carbon in muscle tissue originated from fishmeal; while in animals fed diets containing the 10:90 ratio of the two ingredients, the relative contributions of these elements from fishmeal were 32 and 24% respectively. …”

Estudio de la población microbiana en un sistema de biorremediación in situ de un suelo impactado con hidrocarburos de petróleo. by Ledezma Villanueva, Alejandro

    Published 2016
“…Bioremediation reduces high costs generated by confinement because it involves training, transportation and extensive use of heavy machinery thus resulting in a not very affordable way for the economy and in most cases the site is left behind in a state of environmental liability for an indefinite period until the authority establish an agreement for a treatment. …”

Interacciones temporales y espaciales de mesocarnívoros simpátricos en una Reserva de la Biosfera: ¿coexistencia o competencia? by Carrera Treviño, Rogelio, Astudillo Sánchez, Claudia C., Garza Torres, Héctor A., Martínez García, Luis, Soria Díaz, Leroy

    Published 2018
“…Moreover, the yaguarundi used habitat similar to ocelot and margay (with high spatial overlap of 0.81 and 0.72, respectively), while the spatial overlap between the margay and ocelot was intermediate (0.53), since they used in most cases different habitat types. Our results suggest that there is no interspecific competition among these tropical mesocarnivorous species, probably due to antagonistic interactions among them on the temporal and spatial axis. …”
