Characterization of lignocellulolytic activities from fungi isolated from the deep-sea sponge Stelletta normani por Balestrini, Raffaella, Batista García, Ramón Alberto, Sutton, Thomas, Jackson, Stephen A., Tovar Herrera, Omar Eduardo, Balcázar López, Edgar, Sánchez Carbente, María del Rayo, Sánchez Reyes, Ayixon, Dobson, Alan D. W., Folch Mallol, Jorge Luis

    Publicado 2017
“…Following screening of fourteen fungi isolated from the deep-sea sponge Stelletta normani sampled at a depth of 751 metres, three halotolerant strains (TS2, TS11 and TS12) were identified which displayed high CMCase and xylanase activities. Molecular based taxonomic approaches identified these strains as Cadophora sp. …”

Based on the basic psychological needs theory, in the present study a model was tested in which the task presentation is antecedent to satisfaction of basic psychological needs, and this, in turn, psychological wellbeing in university athletes. …”

Biomass and lipid induction strategies in microalgae for biofuel production and other applications por Alishah Aratboni, Hossein, Rafiei, Nahid, García Granados, Raúl, Alemzadeh, Abbas, Morones Ramírez, José Rubén

    Publicado 2019
“…There are different types of biofuels (categories and generations) that have been previously explored, but recently, the use of microalgae has been strongly considered for the production of biofuels since they present a series of advantages over other biofuel production sources: (a) they don’t need arable land to grow and therefore do not compete with food crops (like biofuels produced from corn, sugar cane and other plants) and; (b) they exhibit rapid biomass production containing high oil contents, at least 15 to 20 times higher than land based oleaginous crops. Hence, these unicellular photosynthetic microorganisms have received great attention from researches to use them in the large-scale production of biofuels. …”

Association study in mexican patients with thyrotoxic hypokalemic periodic paralysis por Bautista Medina, Mario Arturo, Gallardo Blanco, Hugo Leonid, Martínez Garza, Laura Elia, Cerda Flores, Ricardo Martín, Lavalle González, Fernando Javier, Villarreal Pérez, Jesús Zacarías

    Publicado 2020
“…Only two cases (18%) had a previous diagnosis of hyperthyroidism; the rest were diagnosed subsequently with Graves' disease. Based on the analysis, two DNA variants were found to potentially confer an increased risk for TTPP: S1PR1 rs3737576 [odds ratio (OR), 4.38; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.08‑17.76] and AIM rs2330442 (OR, 4.50; 95% CI, 1.21‑16.69), and one variant was suggested to be possibly associated with TTPP, namely MUC1 rs4072037 (OR, 3.08; 95% CI, 0.841‑1.38). …”
