“…We report a large transancestral association study of SLE using Immunochip genotype data from 27,574 individuals of European (EA), African (AA) and Hispanic Amerindian (HA) ancestry. We identify 58 distinct non-HLA regions in EA, 9 in AA and 16 in HA (B50% of these regions have multiple independent associations); these include 24 novel SLE regions (Po5 10 8), refined association signals in established regions, extended associations to additional ancestries, and a disentangled complex HLA multigenic effect. …”

Análisis del microbioma y su relación con citocinas en el fluido vaginal de pacientes con vaginosis bacteriana por Amador Patiño, Gustavo Izrahí

    Publicado 2017
“…Therefore, an additional annex to vaginal bacteria sequence databases from Hispanic women would be meaningful. OBJECTIVES: 1) To characterize the VM of women with BV and healthy-asymptomatic women, by the 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing, compare the bacterial community profiles of both cohorts and to statistically correlate these profiles with the clinical-descriptive data. 2) Measure cytokine levels (IL-2, IL-4, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12p70, IL-17A, TNF and INF-γ) present in the vaginal fluid of women with BV and healthy-asymptomatic women; and establish differences between the two study groups for each cytokine. …”
