    “…antecedentes: la pandemia por SARS-CoV-2 es la primera en el mundo moderno donde el distanciamiento social ha sido tan extenso como nunca antes, aunque es menos dañino que la cuarentena, ambos tienen el potencial para alterar la forma de vida, generar miedo, inestabilidad económica e incertidumbre. la adaptabilidad familiar es el conjunto de habilidades para confrontar retos, sentimientos y experiencias difíciles que son necesarias para desarollar y mantener un ambiente familiar saludable. el objetivo de este estudio es determinar la cohesión y adaptabilidad en el paciente contagiado con SARS-CoV-2 Metdología: en el ultimo cuatrimestre del 2020 realizamos encuestas con el instrumento FACES III por medio de la plataforma de Goolge Forms en el campus del Hospital Universitario "José Eleuterio González", el cual tiene un alpha de Cronbach de 0.7% resultados: se encestaron a 98 pacientes, la mayoría de las familias fueron nucleares (72.4%), seguido de familias extensas (13.3%) y monoparentales (8.2%) de las cuales todas eran en área urbana. en cuanto a la severidad de la enfermedad 63.3% tuvieron sintomas menores. 24.4% moderados y solo 9.2% fueron asintomáticos. en general observamos una elevada cohesión y adaptabilidad, dentro del grupo de cohesion la tendencia fueron familias relacionadas aglutinadas y por adaptabilidad fueron caóticas y flexibles, sin embargo no se encontró ninguna relación entre el tipo de familia y la Severinad de la enfermedad con la cohesion o adaptabilidad familiar.…”
