Sulphated polysaccharides from Ulva clathrata and Cladosiphon okamuranus seaweeds both inhibit viral attachment/entry and cell-cell fusion, in NDV infection por Aguilar Briseño, José Alberto, Cruz Suárez, Lucía Elizabeth, Ricque Marie, Denis, Zapata Benavides, Pablo, Mendoza Gamboa, Edgar, Rodríguez Padilla, Cristina, Trejo Ávila, Laura M.

    Publicado 2015
“…Sulphated polysaccharides (SP) extracted from seaweeds have antiviral properties and are much less cytotoxic than conventional drugs, but little is known about their mode of action. Combination antiviral chemotherapy may offer advantages over single agent therapy, increasing efficiency, potency and delaying the emergence of resistant virus. …”

A pharmacogenetic pilot study reveals MTHFR, DRD3, and MDR1 polymorphisms as biomarker candidates for slow atorvastatin metabolizers por León Cachón, Rafael B. R., Ascacio Martínez, Jorge Ángel Isidro, Gamino Peña, María E., Cerda Flores, Ricardo Martín, Meester, Irene, Gallardo Blanco, Hugo Leonid, Gómez Silva, Magdalena, Piñeyro Garza, Everardo, Barrera Saldaña, Hugo Alberto

    Publicado 2016
“…Six gene polymorphisms were found to have a significant effect on ATV pharmacokinetics: MTHFR (rs1801133), DRD3 (rs6280), GSTM3 (rs1799735), TNFα (rs1800629), MDR1 (rs1045642), and SLCO1B1 (rs4149056). The combination of MTHFR, DRD3 and MDR1 polymorphisms associated with a slow ATV metabolizer phenotype. …”

Ethanolic Extract of Salvia hispanica L. Regulates Blood Pressure by Modulating the Expression of Genes Involved in BP-Regulatory Pathways por Arredondo Mendoza, Gerardo Ismael, Jiménez Salas, Zacarías, Guzmán de la Garza, Francisco Javier, Solís Pérez, Elizabeth, López Cabanillas Lomelí, Manuel, González Martínez, Blanca Edelia, Campos Góngora, Eduardo

    Publicado 2020
“…Although ACEIs are effective therapeutics in regulating HT, they present several side-effects that can be due to their mechanism of action (as hypotension, cough, dizziness, light-headedness or hyperkalemia) to specific drug molecular structure (skin rash, neutropenia and tasting disorders) or due to associated pathologies in the patients (it has been considered a possible nephrotoxic effect when ACEIs are administered in combination with angiotensin receptor blockers, in patients that present comorbidities as diabetes, acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease). …”

Detección de microRNAs extracelulares y su potencial como biomarcadores moleculares por Mar Aguilar, Fermín, Morales Vallarta, Mario Rodolfo, Rodríguez Padilla, Cristina, Reséndez Pérez, Diana

    Publicado 2015
“…In this work, we analyzed the expression of miRNAs in tissue samples and serum of patients with breast cancer and we found that miRNA expression patterns distinguish patients with breast cancer from healthy women with high sensitivity, specificity, and efficiency. The combination of 2 and 3 miRNAs used as a group in tissue and serum respectively, significantly increases the efficiency of the test and shows that miRNAs have potential as novel noninvasive biomarkers in breast cancer detection. …”
