Antiviral mode of action of bovine dialyzable leukocyte extract against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infection by Lara Villegas, Humberto Herman, Ixtepan Turrent, Liliana del Carmen, Garza Treviño, Elsa Nancy, Badillo Almaraz, José Isaías, Rodríguez Padilla, Cristina

    Published 2011
“…Interestingly, bDLE inhibited fusion of fusogenic cells by acting only on CD4 cells. bDLE had no virucidal effect, but could retain its antiviral effect on target cells after it was removed from the extracellular compartment, protecting the cells from infection for hours. bDLE, which has no reported side effects or toxicity in clinical trials, should therefore be further studied to determine its potential use as a therapeutic agent in HIV-1 infection therapy, in combination with known antiretrovirals.…”

Estudio de la glicoproteína fusogénica (F) del paramyxovirus sv5 como nueva herramienta para eliminar células tumorales by Gómez Treviño, Alberto, Mercadé Gil, Elena

    Published 2005
“…These results indicate that the fusogenic glycoprotein of the paramyxovirus SV5 could be used to eliminate tumor cells and may encourage studies aimed at modifying its selectivity and combining its expression with other cytotoxic strategies to improve their efficiency.…”

Electrocatalytic urea mineralization in aqueous alkaline medium using NiIIcyclam-modified nanoparticulate TiO2 anodes and its relationship with the simultaneous electrogeneration o... by Murcio Hernández, S., Rueda Solorio, A.V., Banda Alemán, J.A., González Nava, C., Rodríguez, F.J., Bustos, E., Espejel Ayala, F., Rodríguez, A., Sepúlveda, S., Manríquez, J.

    Published 2020
“…A final comparison between our results and those reported in selected publications revealed that the NiIIcyclam-modified nanoparticulate TiO2-coated ITO anodes here developed, constitutes a promising electrocatalytic system for performing direct urea mineralization at a relative short electrolysis time. Furthermore, the combination of the following phenomena: (a) effective charge separation on the semiconducting ITO|nanoparticulate TiO2 junctions, (b) remarkable capabilities of the nanoporous TiO2 films for tuning the load of OH- anions demanded by the urea oxidation and, (c) outstanding capabilities of the TiO2 nanoparticles for capturing CO intermediates (at Ti3+ donor sites), successfully promoted the enhancement of the electron external transport to Pt cathodes, and consequently improved the faradaic efficiency associated to the cathodic generation of H2.…”
