    “…ABSTRACT This paper is a first approach to the analysis of pragmatic attenuation and intensification in argumentation (Zárate 2015; Toulmin, Rieke & Janik 1979; Gilbert 1997), through cognitive metaphors (Lakoff y Johnson 1980) and also possible links between evidentiality and epistemicity (De Haan 1999), (De Haan 1999),(De Haan 1999),(De Haan 1999),(De Haan 1999),(De Haan 1999),(De Haan 1999), (De Haan 1999), (De Haan 1999),in political and gender discourse in the understanding that all speech act implies a threat, and thus, power act (Briz, 2001). This is applied to the case of a Congresswoman who breaks the protocol during the Governor’s last speech before the state Congress: “No pasarán las cuentas mochas” [“Blunt accounts will not pass”] (Benvenutti, 2015). …”
