Isolated HBsAg positivity in a Mexican patient with newly diagnosed lupus nephritis por Delgado García, Guillermo Rubén, Mandujano Cruz, Ilse, González Padilla, Kiber, Alarcón Galván, Gabriela, Villarreal Alarcón, Miguel Ángel, Galarza Delgado, Dionicio Ángel

    Publicado 2016
“…The concurrence of lupus nephritis (LN) and HBsAg-positivity is a challenge for the clinician, since immunosuppressant use may be associated with an increase in viral replication and an exacerbation of liver disease. Case presentation: Here, we describe the case of a 30-year-old Mexican woman with newly diagnosed focal proliferative LN who also tested repeatedly positive for HBsAg by chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA). …”

The social class struggles concept with an interdisciplinary approach: a paramount concept for research in library and information science (LIS) por Muela Meza, Zapopan Martín

    Publicado 2010
“…It recommends that LIS theorists and practitioners employ the social class struggles concept as configured here in order to understand better contradictions, conflicts, and struggles within LIS theory and practice, and also to search for broader epistemological aims such as justice and wisdom (Fleissner and Hofkirchner, 1998), concealed by the capitalist or bourgeois and middle classes for their benefit against working class.…”

Biomass and lipid induction strategies in microalgae for biofuel production and other applications por Alishah Aratboni, Hossein, Rafiei, Nahid, García Granados, Raúl, Alemzadeh, Abbas, Morones Ramírez, José Rubén

    Publicado 2019
“…Within the last 10 years, many studies have reported different methods and strategies to induce lipid production to obtain higher lipid accumulation in the biomass of microalgae cells; however, there is not a comprehensive review in the literature that highlights, compares and discusses these strategies. Here, we review these strategies which include modulating light intensity in cultures, controlling and varying CO2 levels and temperature, inducing nutrient starvation in the culture, the implementation of stress by incorporating heavy metal or inducing a high salinity condition, and the use of metabolic and genetic engineering techniques coupled with nanotechnology.…”

    Publicado 2021
“…We previously reported preliminary characterization of adipose tissue (AT) dysfunction through the adiponectin/leptin ratio (ALR) and fasting/postprandial (F/P) gene expression in subcutaneous (SQ) adipose tissue (AT) biopsies obtained from participants in the GEMM study, a precision medicine research project. Here we present integrative data replication of previous findings from an increased number of GEMM symptom-free (SF) adults (N = 124) to improve characterization of early biomarkers for cardiovascular (CV)/immunometabolic risk in SF adults with AT dysfunction. …”
