Lípidos Alternativos en la Nutrición de Peces Marinos | Alternative Lipids in Nutrition of Marine Finfish por Nishioka Rombenso, Artur

    Publicado 2017
“…The current paper provides new knowledge regarding LC-PUFA requirements of marine carnivorous fish(White Seabass Atractoscion nobilis, California Yellowtail Seriola dorsalis and Florida Pompano Trachinotuscarolinus) in the context of C18 PUFA-rich and SFA- and MUFA-rich alternative lipids. Determine if all LCPUFAs(ARA, EPA, DHA) are equally important in meeting fatty acids requirements and also determine theeffects of dietary SFA, MUFA, and C18 PUFA content in fish oil sparing and tissue deposition of LC-PUFAs.The overall findings highlighted that DHA and ARA appear to be the primary drivers of fatty acidessentiality, whereas EPA is likely required in minor amounts. …”

Mini-review: Development of High-throughput Omics Resources for Aquaculture Nutrition por Mendoza-Porras, Omar, Osborne, Simone A., Wade, Nicholas

    Publicado 2022
“…However, by combining transcriptomics with proteomics and metabolomics, it is now plausible to evolve aquaculture nutrition from the viewpoints of enhanced growth and survival to the development of premium advanced functional feeds that help to attain all desired phenotypes. Close proximity of proteins and metabolites to the desired phenotype makes proteomics and metabolomics coupled to bioinformatics a powerful trinomial tool to elucidate functional perturbations in an organism under specific circumstances at a given time. …”

Soybean meal apparent digestibility for Litopenaeus vannamei, including a critique of methodology por Divakaran, S., Velasco, Mario, Beyer, Eric, Forster, Ian, G. J. Tacon, Albert

    Publicado 2019
“…The apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) fordry matter, crude protein, and gross energy were calculated for the diets and these data were used to derive theapparent digestibility coefficients for the SBM at the two levels of substitution. The dietary inclusion levels of the chromic oxide and SBM acted together to significantly (p<0.05) affect theADCs obtained for SBM. Over all the treatments, the calculated ADC for SBM dry matter varied from 61.2 to84.7%; for crude protein from 89.5 to 102.2%; and, for energy from 78.7 to 100.1%. …”
