For the analysis of the anti-inflammatory activity of BB we used 24 male mice of the BALB/c strain that were randomly divided into two groups (n=12), the first group received purified water and the second group BB, both treatments were administered ad libitum for 10 days, subsequently, 6 mice from each group were sacrificed and the other six animal of each group were induced UC by an intrarectally administration of 2 mg of 2,4,6- trinitrobenzene-sulfonic acid (TNBS) dissolved in 4% acetic acid (AcOH), mouse were euthanized 24 h after colitis induction. …”
