“…Resultados. la edad fue de 12.6±1.3 años. la prevalencia de piezas dentales cariadas sin tratamiento, obturadas, pérdidas o extraídas fue de 74.6%; el 26.7% presentó anomalía oclusal ligera y el 12.6%, grave. el límite de 18 puntos de esquema de peso diferenciado con base en aumento de posibilidades de necesidad de salud bucal observada de cada ítem, fue el más recomendable dado su resultado de sensibilidad (67.2%) y la tasa de falsas negativas (32.8%). viii conclusiones. se logró determinar el punto de corte óptimo del cpq11-14 en el ámbito escolar. la medición de calidad vida afectada en aspectos físicos, psicológicos o sociales por enfermedad bucal, contribuye a la evaluación de necesidad de salud. así, se recomienda aplicarlo en escolares mexicanos, especialmente para envío inmediato al cirujano dentista a quienes registren un resultado superior a 18 puntos.…”
