“…Las ecuaciones de Zoeppritz, a pesar de estar basadas en los principios de la acústica, son aplicadas a la geofísica, de hecho son una parte fundamental en el entendimiento del comportamiento de la ondas a través de medios estratificados, así como de la tetra-partición de su energía transmitida en la interfaz de dos medios y a pesar de que estas no representan ningún tipo de dificultad al computarizarlas, es difícil hacer conclusiones generales de uno o varios parámetros durante el proceso de reflexión y transmisión de ondas sísmicas, ya sea combinados o de forma individual, sin mencionar que, como ya es comúnmente conocido, los volúmenes de información utilizados en el procesamiento sísmico son normalmente grandes y requieren un considerable tiempo de computo, por ello la idea de tratar de optimizar estos procesos siempre es una opción viable y conveniente. …”
