“…La complicación crónica con mas frecuencia fue la retinopatía (47.2%); el porcentaje másalto de perdida de años de vida productiva se encuentra entre lo 6 a 10 años. la retinopatía fue laque contribuyo con el mayor numero de años, sumando 513 años; mientras que en promedio deAVPP, fue la insuficiencia circulatoria periférica con 12.79, que resulto ser significativamentediferente de los AVPP con los que contribuyo en promedio la retinopatía que resulto ser de 8.92.Sobresale la insuficiencia circulatoria renal, como las más importante, al ocupar una segundaposición en su contribución total de AVPP y la primera posición por el promedio AVPPPalabras clave: diabetes mellitus, años de vida productiva perdidos, complicaciones crónicasdiabetes mellitus, lost of years of productive life, chronics complications…”
