Determinación de la prevalencia de transfusión masiva de hemocomponentes en pacientes con hemorragia aguda en el Hospital Universitario "Dr. José Eleuterio González" por González Herver, Luis Ernesto

“…Discusión: Estudios como el Multicenter Major Trauma Transfusion (PROMMTT) y ensayos como el PROPPR recomendaron el uso de una proporción de transfusión de hemocomponentes a razón 1:1:1 o 1:1:2, en los resultados obtenidos no se encontraron diferencias significativas en la mortalidad a las 24 h o a los 30 días, sin embargo en pacientes donde se utilizaron proporciones de transfusión 1:1:1 se encontró un mayor número de pacientes que lograron la hemostasia y disminución en la mortalidad por lo que parece ser una proporción de transfusión segura; el usar de forma temprana mayores cantidades de plasma y plaquetas aun sin proporciones consistentes se ha asociado con una mejora en la supervivencia durante las primeras 6 h, menos complicaciones inflamatorias y una mejor supervivencia. …”
