“…ABSTACT The Araró region, located east of Lake Cuitzeo in northern Michoacan state, has several thermal manifestations that include the Huingo, Hervores, La Salud, Zimirao and San Agustín del Pulque springs with aqueous discharges and gases with temperatures of 85 °C at 100 °C, thermal wells, hydrothermal alterations and deposits of sintered type, these manifestations and alterations in the thermal zones reveal the geothermal potential of the area. Geologically, the Araró zone comprises acidic pyroclastic lithologies and andesitic spills affected by normal faults of preferential E-W and NW-SE volcanic orientations. …”
