“…The threat posed by invasive non-native species worldwide requires a global approach to identify which introduced species are likely to pose an elevated risk of impact to native species and ecosystems. To inform policy, stakeholders and management decisions on global threats to aquatic ecosystems, 195 assessors representing 120 risk assessment areas across all six inhabited continents screened 819 non-native species from 15 groups of aquatic organisms (freshwater, brackish, marine plants and animals) using the Aquatic Species Invasiveness Screening Kit. …”

Mapping of the atmospheric deposition of sulfur and nitrogen during the dry season 2016 in the Metropolitan zone of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico by Cerón Bretón, Rosa María, Cerón Bretón, Julia Griselda, Muriel García, M., Lara Severino, Reyna del Carmen, Rangel Marrón, Marcela, Ramírez Lara, Evangelina, López Jiménez, D., Rodríguez Guzmán, Abril, Uc Chi, Martha Patricia

    Published 2018
“…Both, sulfur and nitrogen atmospheric deposition fluxes were higher in urban sites, exceeding almost 2 times, the reference values proposed internationally for sensitive ecosystems. From the analysis of wind roses and air masses trajectories, it was possible to establish that during this climatic season, in addition to the local vehicular emissions, regional emissions generated upwind (from E-SE) contributed to atmospheric deposition of these ions. …”

Nutritional role of natural productivity and formulated feed in semi‐intensive shrimp farming as indicated by natural stable isotopes by Gamboa Delgado, Julián

    Published 2014
“…The natural productivity of semi-intensively managed shrimp ponds is frequently represented by a diverse trophic structure that forms part of the diet of farmed organisms. As in natural ecosystems, these dietary components exhibit differing isotopic signatures that vary with diet and trophic level. …”

Nutritional role of the natural productivity and formulated feed in semi-intensive shrimp farming as indicated by natural stable isotopes by Gamboa Delgado, Julián

    Published 2014
“…The natural productivity of semi-intensively managed shrimp ponds is frequently represented by a high variety of trophic elements that continuously supply nutrients to the farmed organisms. As in the natural ecosystems, these dietary components exhibit differing isotopic signatures at natural abundance levels and since these natural communities belong to different trophic positions and isotopic values of organisms tend to increase with trophic level, the isotopic differences can be measured and used to infer on the transfer of nutrients, hence allowing establishing relationships between consuming organisms and their diets. …”
