Recent Developments in Shrimp Feeds & Feeding by Tacon, Albert G.J.

    Published 2015
“…The above is perhaps not surprising since fishmeal and fish oil represent ideal feed ingredients for the aquaculture sector by possessing a nutritional profile approximating to the nutritional requirements of most farmed aquatic species, including shrimp; fishmeal not only being an excellent source of dietary protein and essential amino acids but also being a good source of nucleotides, essential fatty acids, phospholipids, minerals, and trace elements (including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, manganese, selenium, iodine, molybdenum, and chromium), and fat soluble and water soluble vitamins (including vitamin A, D, E, choline, inositol, and B-vitamins).It follows from the above discussion therefore that efforts to replace fishmeal with alternative and more sustainable protein-rich feed ingredient sources should focus not only on making good any amino acid imbalances through dietary supplementation with aquaculture-grade free amino acids and dipeptides, but must also consider the dietary supplementation of the numerous other essential nutrients usually by fishmeal, including nucleotides, taurine, cholesterol, HUFA, minerals and trace elements. …”

Caracterización parcial de la principal actividad fosfolipasa tipo A1 Y A2 en subfracciones de Trichomonas tenax by García Muñoz, Edna Marbella

    Published 2019
“…Once the proteins of the P30 and S30 subfractions were obtained and quantified, together with the total extract, the phospholipase activity of type A1 and A2 was determined by the radioassay method, where we found that both phospholipase activities, whose optimal pH is 8 (PLA1) and 6 (PLA2), both dependent on time, dose and concentration of Calcium. Our team has identified the presence for the first time of the phospholipase activity A1 and A2 in T. tenax. …”

Caracterización de la función de la proteína de eflujo de cationes Dmct (Yali0F19734p) en Yarrowia lipolytica by González Lozano, Katia Jamileth

    Published 2020
“…When the cells were subjected to ionic stress due to the presence of metals, morphological changes were observed with the zinc, copper and iron cations, but not with calcium. Observing the internalization of the cations by fluorescence, no differences were observed between the strain that contained the gene and the one that did not, because both manage to internalize the ions into the cytoplasm and vacuoles. …”
