Universal primers for the amplification and sequence analysis pf actin-1 from diverse mosquito species
Publicado 2010“…These primers can also be used in molecular experiments in which the detection, amplification or silencing of a ubiquitously expressed mosquito housekeeping gene is necessary. Sequence and phylogenetic data are also presented in this report.…”

Discovery of a Novel Polyomavirus in Acute Diarrheal Samples from Children
Publicado 2012“…The ,5.0 kB viral genome exhibits little overall homology (,46% amino acid identity) to known polyomaviruses, and, due to phylogenetic variation among its individual proteins, cannot be placed in any existing taxonomic group. …”

A new species of Trachymyrmex (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) fungus-growing ant from the Sierra Madre Oriental of northeastern Mexico
Publicado 2017“…The main character that distinguishes the new species from T. smithi is longer antennal scapes in T. pakawa; also, different nesting habits (rocky slopes vs. alluvial sites or deep sand in T. smithi), and geographic distribution. Phylogenetic analysis of DNA sequences from the mitochondrial marker cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and the first intron of the F1 copy of the nuclear protein-coding gene Elongation Factor 1- α (EF1-α-F1) confirm a sister-species relationship between T. pakawa and T. smithi. …”

Evaluación de la actividad antitumoral, inmunomoduladora y hepatotoxica de los extractos crudos de Pachycereus marginatus (DC.) Britton & Rose en un modelo murino
Publicado 2017“…The cactus Pachycereus marginatus is native to Mexico and in traditional medicine has been recommended only to treat diabetes; However, shows a phylogenetic relationship very similar to Lophocereus schottii, which has been shown to have important activity on HeLa (cervical cancer) tumor cells, as well as antibiotic activity on the bacteria Enterobacter aerogenes, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella typhi. …”
