| description | La investigación en salud tiene como principales objetivos el análisis y solución de las enfermedades. Sus principales limitaciones son la desfavorable prevención de enfermedades y mejora de servicios de salud. Es posible que el tipo de abordaje metodológico explique esta situación ó más bien la forma en que se plantean y analizan los procesos salud-enfermedad. La investigación cuantitativa aplica la encuesta precodificada de muestreo representativo estadístico para expresar numéricamente la frecuencia con que se presenta la anorexia. Por otro, la investigación cualitativa se fundamenta en paradigmas alternativos cuyas técnicas muestran la heterogeneidad sobre los significados culturales y sociales que se atribuyen al cuerpo, a su vez expresadas en narraciones y observaciones. En esta revisión se distinguen los planteamientos y abordajes en torno a las causas familiares y socioculturales, así como de los estudios culturales de la anorexia. Con esto no se pretende legitimar cuál es el método idóneo, sino que las diferencias de sus planteamientos, aplicación de técnicas y estrategias de análisis nos aportan diferentes perspectivas del estudio de la anorexia. Es posible, que una revisión a profundidad de los resultados obtenidos nos conduzca a discernir la aplicación de dichos hallazgos.AbstractThe investigation in health has as main objectives the analysis and solution of the illnesses. Their main limitations are the unfavorable prevention of illnesses and improvement of services of health. It is possible that the type of methodological boarding explains this situation or rather the form in that you/they think about and they analyze the processes health-illness. The quantitative investigation applies the survey with representative statistical sampling to express the frequency numerically with which it shows up the anorexy. For other, the qualitative investigation is based in alternative paradigms whose techniques show the heterogeneity in turn on the cultural and social meanings that are attributed to the body, expressed in narrations and observations. In this revision they are distinguished the positions and boardings around the family and sociocultural causes, as well as of the cultural studies of the anorexy. With this it is not sought to legitimate which the suitable method is, but rather the differences of its positions, application of technical and analysis strategies contribute us different perspectives of the study of the anorexy.
